We are seeking a skilled Tandoor Cook to join our culinary team. As a Tandoor Cook, you will be responsible for baking bread in the tandoor oven. Attention to detail, knowledge of traditional Tandoor oven, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities 1. Operate and maintain the tandoor oven, ensuring it reaches the proper temperature and is cleaned regularly. 2. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked to perfection. 3. Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders. 4. Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times. 5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. 6. Collaborate with management to ensure customer satisfaction and address any concerns.
Qualifications: 1. Proven experience as a Tandoor Cook or similar role in a restaurant or catering establishment. 2. Deep understanding of Desi cuisine and traditional cooking techniques, particularly tandoor cooking. 3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 4. Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality dishes. 5. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. 6. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods. 7. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. 8. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
