North Side ( www.northsideinc.com ) is a Montreal, Canada based small company developing an integration of Unreal engine with ChatGPT, for its  Bot Colony Redux videogame and the Perla tool.

  

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and test Bot Colony features. Bot Colony _redux ( www.botcolony.com ) integrates Unreal 5 with ChatGPT to offer a uniquely immersive experience through unrestricted conversation with the game’s 3D characters. Bot Colony works in a client-server environment (Unreal client, NLU server).
  • Design, develop and test Perla features. Perla is a simulation and storytelling tool, enabling non-programmers to build content featuring 3D characters able to converse and interact with their 3D environment.
  • Collaborate with R&D team members to integrate NLU with 3D graphics

 

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • 5 years of experience in the video game industry (you contributed to at least one game that shipped)
  • We’re a small team, so knowledge in multiple areas is very desirable: 3D character animation, mocap, IK, networking and client/server, streaming, speech-to-text and text-to-speech,  UX design, gameplay, and overallUnreal engine knowledge
  • Strong  C++
  • Some background in math and logic
  • Analytical and creative
  • Flexibility and resilience, ability to think out of the box
  • Positive attitude, initiative, proactive in identifying and solving problems
  • Good interpersonal skills and effective communication with a team.
