Our multidisciplinary team of exceptional Therapists are dedicated to fulfilling their passions for enhancing children’s functional performance and independence in everyday activities. We provide a holistic family centered approach for all services offered. At Developing Hands, we strive to offer a supportive and positive environment for service providers on the team.

As an Occupational Therapist at Developing Hands Pediatric and Family Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for administering clinical formal and informal assessments and implementing treatment plans for infantschildren and adolescents (ages 0-18) with a variety of diagnoses while adhering to the policies and procedures of the company. Services can be offered In-Home/Schools/Daycares (across the GTA), In-Clinic (two clinic locations in Mississauga,) and Virtually (all across Ontario).

Responsibilities

Provide sensory and fine motor assessment and intervention for children who present with a broad range of functional concern.

Manage an assigned caseload and contribute to the quality of care to clients through adherence to the professional standards of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.

Support client families by providing individual and group training and resources to parents that will support the development of communication skills at home.

Maintain regular contact with client families and keep them informed of treatment plans.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy

Registered in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.

Registered with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists or the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists.

Two years of clinical experience working with children an asset

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Experience with clinical pediatric population an asset

Well-developed clinical skills

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting

Strong Organizational Skills
