Summary of Position:

ProductionShift Supervisoris responsible to organize, monitor, and audit production line activities to ensure conformance to established requirements regarding quality, cost, productivity, and safety in the production floor and among all the plant building.

Shift supervisor Provide information and follow-up on overall product conditions (meeting or not meeting specifications, problem areas with equipment, specifications, packaging supplies, raw product challenges, pack and line schedule, etc) to operate with optimum efficiency.

  • Leads and manages overall production at the specific shift and supervise the overall building especially at night shift.
  • Coordinates with other supervisors regarding shift planning and ensure complete hand over to the following shifts requirements.
  • Works effectively with Quality Assurance Manager to ensure finished product meets quality standards and customer specifications and GMP’s are met.
  • Works effectively with Maintenance team to ensure equipment efficiency and promotes teamwork.
  • Proactively foster and promote safe work habits to the team by ensuring proper safety policies and procedures are followed and report any deviations or incident to management team immediately as needed.
  • Administer supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Assist in preparation for, completion, review and follow up on audits action plans.
  • Recommend methods of improving productivity of employees and work closely with the management team to improve processes.
  • Working closely with HR regarding staffing requirements, interviews, selection process and provide regular feedback to HR and management regarding employee’s performance on their respective shifts.
  • Work closely with other Shift Supervisors and Production Manager to achieve production goals.
  • Ensure all HACCP guidelines, rules and regulations are being followed throughout the production process, including the proper completion of all required documentation.
  • Oversee performance management system for production employees including performance appraisals, coaching and progressive discipline as required.
  • Be an ambassador to the company values and policies.
  • Miscellaneous related duties that may be assigned from time to time, including conducting test runs on new or existing products, accident investigation, etc.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum five years supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Food and beverage experience is a bonus.
  • Degree/diploma in Business or related discipline is preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of experience and educational qualifications.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently using effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, reasoning and judgement will be required to facilitate proper planning and implementation.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada with valid work permit or PR.
  • This is a full-time job requires 100% presence in Aurora plant. You must be able to make daily commute to Aurora, ON.
