This position applies technical knowledge and expertise in the development and implementation of new and improved manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment. Ensures that the design specifications and procurement of manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures etc. meet company requirements and objectives. Promote and support LEAN culture, methods, and activities.

Major Responsibilities

  1. Plan, co-ordinate, lead, and participate in various multi-disciplined teams in addressing and fulfilling company objectives, associated with stamping dies, the manufacturing process, productivity, volume outputs, scrap/rework, quality, safety, and delivery commitments.
  2. Maintain current with the overall field of Manufacturing Engineering, new technology, and processes, stamping dies (progressive) and attending training courses as needed.
  3. In liaison with the Program Manager, Sales Coordinator, Product Engineer, Purchasing complete all RFQ's on a timely basis while meeting the customer's requirements.
  4. Define specification and the statement of work, procurement of various quotations for approval, develop, maintain and execute the implementation plan for new equipment and new tooling.
  5. Champion continuous improvement program's area of responsibility.

Knowledge and Education

Degree/ Diploma in either Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

Work Experience

Minimum 2 years industrial experience, preferably in either Tool and Die making, metal fabrication, and/or assembly process.

Skills and Competencies

Computer skills in Auto Cad, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project.

Work Environment

Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
