Working with the Director, Pathology Operations and Scientific Directors, this role fosters a culture of safety, quality and internal and external customer service. Through inspirational leadership, creates an environment of high performance and employee engagement.This is a full-time, permanent role working on evening shift (Monday to Friday, 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.).Why Dynacare is an amazing place for YOU:Join an award-winning "Top Employer" with meaningful and impactful career opportunitiesAccess a health and wellness benefits program that supports you and your loved onesGrow and thrive with a dynamic, successful company through internal mobility opportunitiesInvest in your future through RRSP match benefits and an employee stock purchase programExperience a collaborative, diverse workforce that prioritizes dignity and respect for allHow YOU will make a difference:As a leader, role model and coach, fostering an environment of positive employee relations, strong teamwork, and employee engagementCreating an environment of trust and open communication by sharing information in a timely manner and encouraging multi-directional feedbackActing as a coach to promote career growth opportunities, educational pursuits, and participation in internal development programsManaging people resources for optimal workforce planning, recruitment, performance goal setting, training, scheduling and effective workflowCollaborating with other managers and Director, Operations to create a positive work environment in the laboratoryRecommend, implement and monitor departmental procedures, policies, and standardsDevelop, recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives strategiesManage compliance requirements such as collection, preparation, and analysis of departmental reports and statisticsEnsure appropriate methodology and equipment are in place and assist in the development of new methods or changes in existing methodsMonitor quality control programs and processes, review and interpret QC results, and act to correct any potential issuesProvide exceptional customer service and ensure customer needs are addressed as neededResponsible for business planning, goal development and scheduling for the departmentReview scientific issues and challenges with Director, Pathology OperationsWhat YOU bring to the role:Bachelor of Science- healthcare or related fieldCertified Medical Laboratory Technologist preferred.3 to 5 years previous leadership experienceDemonstrated experience leading and engaging diverse teamExceptional communication skills that are adapted to the needs of stakeholderAbility to foster relationships across all levels of the organizationExperience in planning, preparing, and devising work schedulesDemonstrated understanding of the principles and processes for providing customer satisfaction including quality standards for services, and evaluation of processesIn-depth knowledge of statistics and management reportsProficiency with MS Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Experience in applying project management principles and techniquesAbility to effectively manage constraints and competing prioritiesStrong decision-making ability to effectively manage constraints and competing prioritiesNice to have : Laboratory experience Passionate about supporting healthy lives with commitment and care?
