One of our manufacturing clients in Stratford, ON is looking for a Tool and Die Maker for their facility.

Shift - Afternoon and Night

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Hold a valid trade license (429A General Machinist or 430A Tool and Die Certificate).
  • Skillfully sets up and operates engine lathes, milling, grinding, drilling, sawing, and boring machines to meet specified tolerances.
  • Proficiently interprets blueprints, operational instructions, and reference charts to choose appropriate measuring tools and layout devices.
  • Executes measuring, checking, and layout tasks, making decisions on workpiece materials and necessary cutting tools and abrasives for metal removal processes.
  • Conducts metal removal procedures using a variety of hand and power tools, and selects appropriate clamping and holding devices, along with product-related components.
  • Expertly selects workpiece materials and the necessary cutting tools and abrasives for metal removal operations.
  • Provides training to fellow employees as needed.
