Excellent opportunity for an Orthopedic surgeon (Ankle and Foot specialist or Sport Medicine) to join the team at Salmon Arm (SLH). You will enjoy a busy and exciting practice working with many visiting orthopedic surgeons from neighbouring communities and alongside an excellent team of caring allied health professionals. You will be working in both the clinical and hospital setting with OR days; up to two OR days weekly. Opportunities to build a trauma service, procedure dependent. Candidates must be comfortable living and settling in a rural area, ideally planning to stay long term in the community.

We are excited to add new graduates or experienced candidates to join our team in Salmon Arm. The region offers an abundance of activities. There are opportunities for teaching medical students and residents. Locum opportunities are also available.

Qualifications:
  • Eligible for Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)
  • Eligible for licensure with CPSBC
  • Doctorate in Medicine
  • Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association is mandatory
Call Schedule:

Hours of work: Full Time
On-call requirements: No on-call requirements; however, there is a potential opportunity to join another on-call schedule in a neighbouring community.

Compensation: Estimated Gross Income:

Competitive, plus MOCAP level 1
