Reporting to the Commercial Lines Supervisor – Ontario, the Underwriting Assistant is responsible for assisting the Commercial Lines Underwriters with the development and successful execution of broker and territory-level business plans for our Ontario brokers in accordance with the regional commercial business plan for profitability, growth, retention, and service standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
- The successful candidate must work in the North Bay office 5 days a week.
- Main responsibilities include data entry to issue commercial lines policy documents, setting up and monitoring abeyances, ordering inspections, maintaining internal logs, and if required covering reception on an as-needed basis.
- Requirements for this position: post-secondary school education or comparable previous office experience, good communication skills (verbal and written), efficient and accurate keyboarding, strong attention to detail, team player with a positive attitude, and prior experience in data entry is an asset.
