JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Senior Manager of IT, the Microsoft 365 Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business needs, identifying solutions, and ensuring the successful implementation and optimization of Microsoft 365 applications. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 services, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Given the nature of the work, which may involve handling sensitive and confidential information, maintaining strict confidentiality is essential.

Our supportive housing and low barrier programs provide refuge, services and advocacy for those who are homeless or poorly served elsewhere due to their physical health, mental health, behaviour, substance use, or involvement with the criminal justice system. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The job includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Business Analysis: Conducts thorough business analysis to understand and document business processes, requirements, and objectives.
  • Solution Design: Identifies and designs solutions using Microsoft 365 applications to meet business needs and improve efficiency.
  • Implementation and Deployment: Coordinates and manages the implementation and deployment of Microsoft 365 solutions, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Training and Support: Provides training and support to end-users, ensuring they are effectively using Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitors and evaluates the performance of Microsoft 365 solutions, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.
  • Collaboration: Works closely with IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Documentation: Creates and maintains detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, and solution designs. Will also write statements of work, business cases, requirements documents and other key process documents.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensures all Microsoft 365 solutions comply with company policies and industry regulations, particularly in relation to data security and privacy.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on Microsoft 365 solutions.

Microsoft 365 certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals) are a plus.

· Strong understanding of the Microsoft 365 Platform (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform).

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Proficiency in creating detailed documentation and reports.

· Experience with macOS & iOS an asset.

· Excellent Excel skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong knowledge and competence in operating in an Enterprise ITIL environment.

· Working knowledge of agile methodologies such as scrum and sprints.

· Strong knowledge of productivity applications especially within the Microsoft 365 suite including:

  • Microsoft 365 licensing
  • Microsoft Entra
  • Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS)
  • Exchange (Exchange Online and Exchange On-premise)
  • Office 365 (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Apps for Enterprise)
  • Microsoft Intune
  • Defender for Endpoint/Cloud Apps/Identity/Office 365
  • Microsoft Purview
  • Powershell
  • Microsoft Security
  • Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI)

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

This is a unionized position with CUPE 5536.

Job Type: Permanent, full time

Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00AM to 5:00PM (37.5 hours/week) at PHS HQ

Salary: $37.00/hour
