Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all equipment, maintenance and management within the plant.
  • Ensure daily cleanliness and upkeep of all machinery.
  • Conduct general preventative maintenance in compliance with ISO 9001 standards, including maintaining accurate reporting documentation.
  • Maintain the Preventative Maintenance schedule to avoid production disruptions.
  • Manage the maintenance of all hand tools, including pneumatic tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to design and implement new jigs and fixtures.
  • Negotiate prices for new or used equipment and equipment repairs.
  • Assist in sourcing new or used equipment as needed.
  • Train staff on the proper use and maintenance of all plant equipment.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory list of all tools and equipment in the plant.
  • Ensure the workshop remains clean, organized, and efficient.
  • Assist with ordering and picking up small parts, hardware, and materials as needed by the Production Manager.
  • Contribute ideas and solutions for continuous improvement in manufacturing methods.
  • Handle all office repairs, including light fixtures, HVAC systems, plumbing, and ceiling tiles, as well as maintenance of plant equipment.
  • Provide WHMIS training to full-time and part-time staff.
  • Promote Health & Safety standards across the plant.

Requirements:

  • Millwright License is required
  • Forklift license is required
  • Previous proven experience on health and safety board with previous employers
  • Must be diligent and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Should exhibit a sense of urgency to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Driver's License as this location is not transit accessible
