Responsibilities: As an Electrical Designer, your responsibilities will include:
  • Designing and developing electrical schematics and control systems within SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Collaborating with internal teams on project quotes, programming structure, and process flow.
  • Installing and teaching PLC programming as required.
  • Identifying and researching electrical components for projects.
  • Maintaining and modifying existing systems.
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, contractors, and relevant authorities.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving electrical issues.
  • Communicating with suppliers regarding component specifications, pricing, and lead times.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Reviewing designs with manufacturing to optimize system performance.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • A College-Level Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in PLC logic and programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
