RVA’s Ottawa office is looking for a Project Engineer, Municipal to join their team.

Duties:

  1. Working with Civil Engineers and other project team members as part of an integrated project team.
  2. Preparation of preliminary and final designs for road reconstruction and infrastructure renewal projects, stormwater projects, culverts, watermains, sanitary and storm sewers, and grading.
  3. Preparation and coordination of approvals, tender documents, cost estimating, contract documents, reports including sealing the documents.
  4. Preparation and editing of AutoCAD and Civil 3D design drawings as required.
  5. Engineering and contract administration related to municipal projects including site development, roads, watermains, sanitary and storm sewer systems. Duties will encompass the municipal, commercial, land development, and mining/industrial sectors.
  6. Other duties as required where appropriate for the position.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  2. 5+ years’ experience in municipal engineering. Consultancy experience preferred.
  3. Must have a valid P. Eng. designation in the province of Ontario.
  4. The successful candidate will possess a strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and all levels of staff in a collaborative team environment.
  5. Experience or aptitude for meeting timelines and budgets, proposal writing, client development, and other skills appropriate to consulting.
  6. Proven capabilities in writing reports and other technical documents.
  7. Demonstrated superior English communication skills, both oral and written.
  8. Must have a valid driver's license.
