Job Description

Our client is a leading multi-disciplinary Consulting Engineering Practice with offices throughout Ireland and the UK. You will join the Roads, Bridges and Marine sector, which is responsible for a wide range of bridge, road, and marine projects throughout Ireland.

  1. Aid in the Project Management and coordination of team
  2. Identify and manage project risk and develop solutions, where necessary
  3. Prepare tender submission proposals, client management, and business development
  4. Guide and mentor junior team members
  5. Successful management of the client relationship, managing communications, scope change, and client expectations
Requirements

Education: Master’s degree in civil engineering
Certification: Chartered with a relevant professional body
Experience: 6 years plus, postgraduate experience working in a design consultancy on the design and supervision of bridge rehabilitation, replacement projects, and of roads or other civil works
Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of current government forms of contract documentation is essential
  • Current experience of leading, managing and running Civil engineering design projects
  • Strong technical ability in all aspects of your field of engineering
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of current EN Standards
  • Experience of client and contractor interaction and engagement
  • Proactive, a good communicator with the ability to lead others in a multi-disciplinary project team
  • Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
