Our client, Andersen ( a member firm of Andersen Global, is seeking a Senior Manager, Tax interested in gaining experience in a growing firm and tackling challenges in Canadian and international taxation.
Job Description
Reporting to the Partners of the firm, the Senior Manager is responsible for compliance and planning tax mandates including but not limited to:
- Tax advisory;
- Tax compliance;
- M&A and tax due diligence;
- Tax planning;
- Etc.
The chosen candidate will possess an excellent aptitude for communication, be able to work independently as well as in a team. They must have a high level of critical judgment, an analytical spirit, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Oversee tax compliance files for corporate clients, including the review of quarterly or annual tax provision calculations, corporate income tax returns, treaty-based returns, and surplus calculations.
- Manage international tax compliance for clients, including the review of T1134 and T106 forms.
- Design and implement Canadian and international tax planning strategies.
- Develop tax planning for cross-border mergers and acquisitions.
- Conduct tax due diligence examinations for Canadian companies involved in domestic or cross-border acquisitions.
- Manage tax audits.
- Respond to ad hoc client inquiries.
- Collaborate with other team members on matters related to transfer pricing, scientific research and experimental development (SRED), and indirect taxes.
Requirements
- CPA designation or member of the Bar
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in an accounting firm or equivalent;
experience in a major accounting firm is an asset - Master’s degree in taxation or completion of the CICA In-depth advanced courses in taxation or equivalent
- Bilingualism is essential (French and English)
- Team spirit, organizational skills, and project management experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong judgment and autonomy

Sous la responsabilité des associés de la firme, le directeur principal est responsable de gérer des projets de conformité et de planifications fiscales. Les tâches incluent notamment :
- Service conseil pour les clients de la firme ;
- Conformité fiscale ;
- M&A et revues diligentes ;
- Planifications fiscales ;
- Etc.
Le candidat choisi possède d’excellentes habiletés en communication et fait preuve d’autonomie tout en travaillant bien en équipe. Il possède également un jugement critique, un esprit analytique et il sait maintenir d’excellentes relations interpersonnelles.
Responsabilités et tâches
- Gérer les dossiers de conformité fiscale des clients corporatifs comprenant la révision des calculs de provisions d’impôt trimestrielles et annuelles, les déclarations de revenus corporatives, les « treaty based returns » et les calculs de surplus.
- Effectuer la gestion de la conformité internationale des clients par la préparation et/ou la révision des formulaires T1134 et T106.
- Concevoir et mettre en œuvre des planifications fiscales canadiennes et internationales.
- Effectuer des planifications fiscales lors de fusions et acquisitions transfrontalières.
- Gérer les revues diligentes de sociétés canadiennes lors d’acquisitions domestiques ou transfrontalières.
- Agir comme expert-conseil dans les dossiers de vérifications fiscales.
- Répondre aux questions ad hoc des clients de la firme.
- Coordonner avec les autres membres de l’équipe à l’égard des questions touchant le prix de transfert, la recherche scientifique et développement expérimental (RS&DE) et les taxes indirectes.
Exigences du poste
- Titre comptable professionnel (CPA) ou membre du barreau
- 5 à 10 ans d’expérience pertinente en cabinet ou en industrie, expérience dans un grand cabinet, un atout
- Maîtrise en fiscalité ou cours avancés en fiscalité de l’ICCA ou équivalent
- Bilinguisme essentiel (français-anglais)
- Esprit d’équipe, compétences organisationnelles et expérience en gestion de projets dans un environnement rapide et dynamique
- Autonomie et jugement
