Your Opportunity

Our Halifax an/or St. John’s office is looking for a Manager or Senior Manager to join the Assurance team and own the following responsibilities:

  1. Plan, supervise, and execute assurance and non-assurance engagements for private or public clients while ensuring adherence to relevant professional standards and Firm policies.
  2. Manage Assurance projects such as preparing financial statements, conducting due diligence procedures, providing capital-raising services, and collaborating on tax services for assurance and non-assurance clients.
  3. Continuously cultivate a portfolio of new clients and identify business opportunities for existing clients.
  4. Utilize industry and business expertise to anticipate, identify, and resolve issues that are pertinent to the client's business.
  5. Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to requests and suggestions.
  6. Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis.
  7. Engage in training staff and invest in the professional development of your team.

Your Experience And Education

  1. You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in audit and assurance within the public accounting industry, with at least 1 year at the management level.
  2. Successfully completed your CPA designation.
  3. You must have a comprehensive understanding of PSAS, ASPE, and ASNPO files.
  4. You prioritize teamwork, client service, and quality while completing detailed work.
  5. You demonstrate exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
