We are currently seeking to expand our volunteer Board of Directors to include those persons who can bring their expertise, experience and perspective to our Home. Ideal candidates would be individuals who possess a strong commitment to ethical standards, quality care and to exceptional governance. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a commitment to strengthening the healthcare sector and understand what it will take to meet the future needs of the rapidly growing community we serve. Previous experience serving on a not-for-profit Board of Directors would be an asset.
The Southlake Village Board consists of up to 10 members, serving for a three-year term, to a maximum of nine consecutive years. Directors are responsible for making decisions about the Village’s future including the Executive Director’s performance, its strategic plan; monitoring finances; and ensuring compliant and quality care in a safe environment. Board members should be able to prepare and attend 7-9 meetings per year, and are required to submit to a Vulnerable Sector Screening Police check.
