Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Working closely with Tax Partners and other tax staff, to develop and implement tax planning assignments for clients
  • Preparation and review of personal and corporate tax returns
  • Performing technical research and documenting tax plan recommendations
  • Mentoring, training and development of staff
  • Collaborate with peers and senior management on file planning and completion within time constraints
  • Performing other related accounting functions
A successful candidate will have:
  • 3 – 5 years plus of public accounting experience with a tax specialty and a professional designation.
  • Successful completion or in the process of completing the In-Depth Tax Program
  • Sound technical knowledge of Canadian tax related issues
  • Self-motivation with an ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong analytical skills and creativity to identify problems and potential solutions
  • Strong proficiency in client-focused service
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong understanding of a client-focused environment including related deadlines and the ability to work to meet those deadlines
  • A passion for tax work
