Based at its Saint John New Brunswick headquarters, the Senior Corporate Counsel role reports directly to the Vice President, Corporate and Legal and will be a key member of the legal team, operating within a dynamic and fast-paced environment and providing a broad range of legal and commercial advice to JDI’s business on a myriad of legal issues that arise from the operation of a large complex business. In particular, the Senior Corporate Counsel will contribute to strategic decision making by providing recommendations related to legal risk management, transactions, contracts, and as a participant in a variety of business negotiations with third parties.This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a business savvy lawyer who brings 8+ years of corporate/commercial legal experience acquired at a reputable law firm and/or as in-house counsel. The ideal candidate brings strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
