Job Title: HR Generalist Location: Onsite, Ottawa, Ontario

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dependable and experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario, to support our HR operations during this critical phase of expansion.

The HR Generalist will handle a wide range of human resources responsibilities, with a strong focus on ensuring efficient onboarding, managing employee schedules, health plans, payroll, and other HR administrative functions. This role is ideal for a professional who is organized, reliable, and capable of managing day-to-day HR operations while supporting the needs of a growing workforce.

Recruitment and Onboarding:
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
Employee Scheduling and Payroll Management:
Administer payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate payroll for all employees.
Coordinate with department managers to address any scheduling or payroll-related matters.

HR Policies and Compliance:
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that support a growing organization.
HR Administration:
Oversee HR administrative functions, including HRIS management, record-keeping, and the preparation of HR-related documentation such as employment contracts and disciplinary records.
Support HR projects and initiatives that align with AutoShack’s expansion goals.

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, with experience in payroll, employee scheduling, and benefits administration being highly desirable.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, essential for managing HR operations during expansion.
Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in supporting an expanding workforce.
Solid understanding of employment laws and HR best practices across multiple regions.
