Job Description

Works with senior management and other team members to implement enhancements to reporting and analysis packages for senior management forums and committees plus the implementation of improved reporting and data mining tools and metrics. Ensures that the team produces regulatory and economic risk capital reports and data inputs respectively. Produces regularly scheduled reports including stress and back testing and responds to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests. May manage a small team of analysts or own key reports and or processes. Strong finance, risk or compliance background with quantitative skills preferred.

The Enterprise Credit Analytics & Transformation Strategy (ECATS) team is part of the Enterprise Credit organization. The primary focus of the ECATS team is to produce and communicate high-quality, fit-for-use, and concise Global Banking and Enterprise Credit data and information. This team is responsible for defining and enhancing Enterprise Credit data processes, including platforms, reporting, governance, data management and data remediation.

This Regulatory and Governance Senior Analyst role supports the ECATS Data Initiative and Strategy (DIS) team with a focus on model governance and support and engaging with Commercial Credit Front Line Units, Enterprise Credit Risk, Model Risk Management, Global Risk Analytics, along with other risk and support partners.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years professional experience working in a corporate environment, ideally within a financial institution

• Highly motivated, proactive and a self-starter; strong sense of ownership & ability to create and execute plans without daily oversight

• Critical thinker; ability to analyze problems and identify both tactical and strategic solutions to address

• Organized; able to effectively prioritize and balance multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, regulatory driven environment

• Experience with credit-related products, processes and systems

• Data management experience (data quality, metadata management, governance, etc.)

• Project management and/or process design experience

• Able to identify, escalate, and remediate risks in a timely manner

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong presentation skills – comfortable leading and driving conversations

• Strong Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, etc.) experience, Sharepoint and understanding of data relationships

• Able to navigate the enterprise policy source

• General knowledge of bank financial practices and policies

Desired Qualifications:

• Degree in business or related discipline or equivalent experience

• Experience with Wholesale Credit products and functions; familiarity with Wholesale Credit policies and procedures

• Familiarity with Wholesale Credit systems

• Data analysis experience with moderate to advanced SQL or Oracle skills

• Model Risk Management knowledge

• Exposure to Regulatory Exams / Focus Review
