Senior Product Designer

Typical Day in Role:
• Work with a multidisciplinary team of 8+ team members, including visual designers, accessibility experts, quality tester, Web, iOS and Android developers
• Craft thoughtful design solutions with an expert understanding of web and mobile design UX/UI patterns, Apple’s HIG, Material 3 and Material 2 guidelines
• Define Design System details that include component specifications, behaviours, accessibility criteria and use case guidelines
• Advocate for our Design System, promoting scalable design practices and knowledge throughout the bank
• As a subject matter expert, you will help facilitate design contributions in demo’s and answer inquiries from the design and development community in Office Hours.
• Collaborate closely with designers from Canada, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru

Candidate Requirements/Must-Have skills:
1. 10 + years of experience as a UI/UX designer
2. 10+ years of experience designing web and mobile products
3. 10+ years of experience and expert knowledge of responsive web, iOS and Android design patterns
4. Extensive understanding and experience with Figma (to do prototypes, animations, interactions)

Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Previous experience with design systems preferred
• Experience with industry prototyping tools (please list which)
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite an asset
• Working knowledge of Confluence and Jira
• Fundamental understanding of HTML/CSS
• Experience applying WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) to design

• A natural storyteller with the ability to craft and communicate compelling stories that add clarity and inspire passion in our mission. A strong facilitator, with a robust tool kit of techniques to communicate and collect ideas.
• A leader who can defend the standards and encourages all designers to use in their projects
• A performer that educates the design community with the courage to challenge new ideas that can add value to the design system.
• A motivator with the interest to drive individual performance through feedback and modelling (recognizing strong performers and coaching under performers).
• A positive and resilient personality with a growth mentality. You must be able to embrace feedback and have a desire for continuous improvement.
• Ability to communicate concepts, ideas and strategies using rapid visual design techniques.
• Interpersonal skills – relationship building mindset.

Education:
• Degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, User Experience Design, related field, or equivalent work experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
