IAM Full Stack Engineer

Job Title IAM Full Stack Engineer Contract Duration 5 Months Pay Range C$103 - 125/hr Work Type Hybrid – 2 days a week in office (may increase) Location Toronto, ON Schedule Mon - Fri Core business hours Responsibilities Design, engineer, deploy, and support the SailPoint platform as part of the Provisioning & Identity Management product suite. Collaborate with business partners, integration consultants, and internal teams to drive integration and onboarding of systems and applications on SailPoint. Partner with Governance, Risk, HR, and Enterprise Technology teams to develop the Provisioning & Identity Management strategy and technology roadmaps. Translate business, application, and security requirements for Provisioning & Identity Management services into technical specifications and enterprise-level architecture and engineering designs. Serve as the subject matter expert on SailPoint and provide technical consultation to application owners on best practices and standardization for integration with SailPoint. Ensure successful execution of engineering projects and solutions in collaboration with operations, information security, architecture, and project managers. Act as the last escalation point for IAM Services and supporting utilities, providing application support, in-depth investigation, and troubleshooting for tier three issues. Work with vendors to resolve application, software, and hardware issues in a timely manner. Create and maintain system documentation for SailPoint and affiliated technologies, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting steps. Develop support documents and provide training to the support and operations team as required. Oversee external consultants, review design and code, and retain knowledge. Research and propose new recommendations to create, automate, and improve processes. Technical & Professional Qualifications Hands‑on experience implementing, administering, configuring, and supporting SailPoint and related technologies. Experience integrating SailPoint with HR systems (Workday, PeopleSoft, etc.), enterprise infrastructure platforms (Unix, databases, Active Directory, LDAP, etc.), and business applications. Strong understanding of user lifecycle, RBAC policies, enterprise roles, rules, lifecycle events, and provisioning workflows to enable engineering and onboarding on SailPoint. Working knowledge of IAM industry standards and protocols, including SAML, OpenID Connect, OAuth, RBAC, LDAP, Kerberos, etc. Engineering and integration experience with Java, BeanShell, JSP/Servlets, PERL, Unix Shell scripts, Batch, PowerShell, VB Script, SQL, PL/SQL, Python, etc. in a DevOps environment. Multiple operating systems experience (UNIX, Windows, Linux, AIX, etc.). Web technologies experience (WebServices, RESTful APIs, Tomcat/JBoss, JSON, etc.). Database technologies experience (Oracle, SQL Server). Experience with Single Sign On, MFA, SCIM, and Federation. Experience with directory integration (Active Directory, LDAP, virtual directories). Automation and scripting skills. Knowledge of virtualization (VMware, HyperV) and LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN network technologies, monitoring, and support best practices. Understanding of the current regulatory environment and its implications to identity management, security, and audit compliance. Must Have 5+ years of experience implementing, administering, configuring, and supporting SailPoint. 10+ years of technical experience working with multiple third‑party IAM solutions in a fast‑paced, complex global environment with a demonstrable record of engineering, developing, deploying, and maintaining business‑critical systems. Strong coordination and interpersonal skills for significant interaction with different teams across the organization. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to simplify and explain technical issues in understandable business language. Degree/Certifications Required Strong academic background in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related technical field (Bachelor's degree at minimum). Years of Experience 5+ years of experience implementing, administering, configuring, and supporting SailPoint. Background 5+ years of experience implementing, administering, configuring, and supporting SailPoint. 10+ years of technical experience working with multiple third‑party IAM solutions in a fast‑paced environment.
