Reporting to the Primary Care Manager,the Registered Practical Nurse will provide nursing care within the full scopeof an RPN working in a primary care clinic. The Registered Practical Nurseassists in overseeing the quality of services being delivered and will beresponsible for developing nursing care plans within the clinic as well asproviding follow-up. The RPN works collaboratively as a member of theinterdisciplinary team and will participate in the development, implementation,monitoring, and evaluation of primary care services.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Currentregistration as a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Collegeof Nurses of Ontario
  • A minimum of two(2) years nursing experience is required, in a community setting or combinationof community and hospital or public health settings
  • RegisteredPractical Nursing Diploma or Certificate
  • Currentcertification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Currentmembership with RPNAO
  • Physical abilityto perform job duties
  • Ability to speakCree considered an asset
  • Satisfactory CPICand Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Excellentcomputer and technology skills and knowledge of PS Suites, MS Word and MS Teams
  • Excellent oraland written communication skills
  • Experience withthe Indigenous population and Indigenous issues
  • Knowledge of theMushkegowuk history, culture, teachings, protocols, and ceremonies
