Position: Industrial Engineering Technologist
Location: 1880 Britannia Rd E., Mississauga, ON L4W 1J3
Reports to:  Lean / Quality Manager
Job Status:  Full-time; Permanent

Shift: Monday – Friday

We are actively seeking an Industrial Engineering Technician to build our Continuous Improvement team. The Position will report to the Lean Quality Manager at our Mississauga location. They will be working closely with the Lean Manager and Production Team to implement process improvements to improve our operational efficiency and optimize costs. 


YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Working on process improvement initiatives to improve productivity.
  • Develop/maintain Standard Operating procedures, both technical and operational.
  • In collaboration with members of the service team performing industrial time studies.
  • Support the development of 5S program and Standardization.
  • Utilize AutoCAD to develop and optimize shop layouts.
  • Work with leaders to help remove barriers that resist change.
  • Lead projects to identify, analyze and improve work and process flow.
  • Occasional travel required to other branches.

YOU NEED TO HAVE:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience as an Industrial Technician working with continuous improvement and/or lean manufacturing. 
  • Proficient with AutoCAD for design and Microsoft 365 Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience identifying process improvement, areas for optimization and cost reduction.
  • Experience performing industrial time studies.
  • Ability to travel to various shop locations within Canada.
