Project Manager - Underground Utilities

Key Information:
  1. Must have at least 5 years as a Project Manager or equivalent experience.
  2. Must have 3-5 years undergrounds experience.
  3. Must have 3+ years of estimating or equivalent experience.

Hours: Based on a 44-hour work week; however, overtime is required during the busy season. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends when needed. Hourly rate is dependent on experience. Health benefits and vacation pay offered.

Job Description:
  1. Schedule and chair construction planning and coordinate meetings.
  2. Plan the construction project to establish effective organization.
  3. Direct the overall construction program of the project.
  4. Provide leadership to promote maximum productivity.
  5. Maintain accountability for field costs and forecast costs to complete; and implement cost control procedures within the Project Execution Plan.
  6. Ensure a site safety program is developed and implemented to provide a safe working environment for the project construction force.
  7. Recommend the award of construction contracts based on the analysis of the estimating department.

Experience and Certification Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience working as a Project Manager or equivalent is required.
  • 3-5 years undergrounds experience required.
  • Have a strong background of civil construction projects or equivalent is an asset.
  • Software is heavily used within the organization processes, the candidate must have strong computer skills and have a history of working within software programs such as: Primavera Contract, Microsoft Projects, Excel, and Proprietary Software.
