Join Scotiabank as an Instructional Designer – Global Human Resources and help design high‑impact digital learning experiences for employees worldwide. You’ll create course frameworks, design artifacts, and use authoring tools such as Articulate, Vyond, and Adobe Creative Cloud. Responsibilities Pursue a deep understanding of learner roles to ensure that learning solutions meet the needs of learners. Champion a customer‑focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. Develop or advise on the overall framework, design, and strategy of courses, ensuring alignment with learning needs and service‑level agreements; collaborate with Business HR to establish objectives and goals of learning programs. Design learning experience artifacts (experience maps, wireframes, mock‑ups, prototypes, storyboards, scripts) for content partner review/feedback and executive approval. Develop as per the content design framework, using content creation/editing tools like Articulate (RISE, Storyline), Vyond (for videos), and Adobe Creative Cloud (as required). Assist with learning needs assessment and alignment of recommended solution design and development with business learning goals and objectives. Provide ongoing support to the Senior Manager with reporting on learning project updates and risks (if any). Monitor market‑leading trends and learning best practices to propose enhancements to the learner’s experience. Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day‑to‑day activities and decisions. Required Skills Previous banking experience is a strong asset. Good understanding and experience in using Articulate (RISE & Storyline), Vyond, and Adobe Creative Cloud. Knowledge of adult learning principles and a variety of design and development principles and methodologies. Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Business, HR, or Learning. Understanding and knowledge of bank policies and procedures. Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
