There is a 10 months contract opportunity with possible extension for Application Architect – Level 3 in Ottawa.
SECRET level security clearance is a must. Minimum 10 to 12 years of experience required.
Must have experience developing technical architectures, frameworks or strategies for Business Process Management Solutions.
Experience in developing the technical architecture for an integration layer that allows communications between a backend system (e.g. Dynamics)
and other Corporate system (e.g. SharePoint, SAP, Database systems, Portal systems, OpenText Content Server).

TITLE: Application/Software Architect – Level 3

Contract extension: up to two (2) additional one-year periods under the same terms and conditions.

SECRET clearance is a must.

Work location: majority of the work will be conducted on-site at AAFC in the National Capital Region (NCR);
Resources may be required to travel between AAFC locations within the NCR.

Hours: 7.5 hours each day

Application / Software Architect, Level 3
A) A minimum of ten years of cumulative experience, within the past twelve years

B) the resource has experience performing each of the six tasks listed for a minimum of six cumulative months of experience per task:
1) Develop technical architectures, frameworks and strategies, for an application area, to meet the business and application requirements;
2) Analyze functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows.
3) Analyze and evaluate alternative software solutions to meet business problems;
4) Ensure the integration of all aspects of software solutions;
5) Create an application component roadmap – roadmap to align business vision and functional coverage to IT vision; and
6) Create a robust application architecture framework.

C) the resource has a minimum of five years of experience, within the past seven years, developing technical architectures, frameworks or strategies for Business Process Management Solutions.
The resource has experience, on a minimum of two separate and distinct projects, developing the technical architecture for an integration layer that allows communications between a backend system (e.g. Dynamics) and other Corporate system (e.g. SharePoint, SAP, Database systems, Portal systems, OpenText Content Server).
