Position Summary:
We are seeking a Process Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have expertise in lean manufacturing principles and a proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role will involve mentoring junior engineers, leading cost-saving projects, and reporting directly to the Plant Manager.
Responsibilities:
Lead and execute continuous improvement projects to enhance manufacturing processes and optimize efficiency.
Utilize lean manufacturing principles to identify and eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, and improve productivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and ensure alignment with company objectives.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers, fostering their professional development and growth.
Conduct a thorough analysis of manufacturing data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for plant managers, outlining project status, key findings, and recommendations for improvement.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in process engineering.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
5 to 10 years of experience as a Process Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
Proven experience leading continuous improvement projects and achieving measurable results.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization.
Prior experience mentoring junior engineers or leading teams is highly desirable.
Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems used in process engineering.
