Company Overview:

Our client, a leading food manufacturing company in the Hamilton area, is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to drive continuous improvement initiatives across their production lines. This role is ideal for an engineering professional with a strong background in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and line optimization within the food manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:


• Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflow.


• Conduct time studies, root cause analysis, and process mapping to identify opportunities for efficiency gains.


• Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other best practices to improve line performance and reduce downtime.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, and maintenance, to enhance plant performance.


• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency in production.


• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide data-driven recommendations to management.


• Train and support plant personnel on new process improvements and best practices.


• Ensure all process changes comply with food safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:


• Required - Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical or related).


• Experience in food manufacturing is required.


• Min. 2-4 years experience in a Reliability / Process Improvement Engineering role in Food or CPG Manufacturing


• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.).


• Proven experience in line improvements, automation, and production optimization.


• Proficiency in data analysis, process mapping, and project management.


• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.


• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to drive change across teams.
