Description:

A Radiology diagnostic imaging client is hiring a Team Lead for their Nuclear Medicine and Radiation Department. They are looking for a skilled team lead to manage their Nuclear Medicine Department.

As a working supervisor of the Nuclear Medicine team, the technologist will perform general Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology. The technologist must be patient-focused and capable of performing high-quality nuclear medicine procedures independently and proficiently, following CMRITO Standards of Practice, radiation safety principles, and protocols.

As the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO), the successful candidate will supervise and manage all aspects of the radiation safety program and act as the primary contact for The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC).

The successful candidate will directly manage the Nuclear Medicine team, coordinate the Nuclear Medicine operations, and help in growing and leading the expansion of the Nuclear Medicine department. As part of the leadership team, they will act as the site manager for their Innisfil Clinic, overseeing a Nuclear Medicine team of three Nuclear Medicine Technologists.

  1. Active registration with the CMRIT in Nuclear Medicine required
  2. Registration with CAMRT/OAMRS preferred
  3. Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine preferred
  4. Active Professional Liability Insurance
  5. Satisfactory criminal record check
  6. Certified as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO), or willing to obtain within the next 6 months
  7. Current Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certificate preferred
  8. Capable leadership skills
  9. Ability to communicate with a high level of professionalism in interpersonal relations
  10. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and show flexibility
  11. Must have strong independent decision-making skills with a high level of initiative
  12. Discretion and maturity in handling confidential matters
  13. Demonstrated computer knowledge and proficiency with PACS
