Job Description:

A well-established and leading manufacturing company based in the Pickering area are looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance/Facilities Engineer with an electrical bias, to join the business. In this position, you will be part of an autonomous and proactive engineering team. The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:

  1. To undertake inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair to electrical equipment on site.
  2. Provide electrical expertise to the site.
  3. Liaise with contractors where necessary.
  4. Install or be involved with installation of new equipment.
  5. Provide electrical guidance and assistance with any site or equipment project work.
  6. Undertake PAT testing.
  7. Improve facilities and site equipment as part of wider facilities team.
  8. Carry out reactive and proactive maintenance of site machinery, equipment, and systems to minimise downtime, optimise performance and maximise safety.

I am really keen to see your CV if you are a time served Maintenance Engineer, qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC electrical/mechanical, BTEC level 3 in engineering and experience in both Electrical and a Mechanical capacity and qualified to 17th or 18th Edition Electrical Regulations is preferable). A good understanding of HACCP principles. Has awareness and understanding of key legislative and safety requirements within the engineering field and the ability to work well under pressure and be assertive when making decisions to keep things moving smoothly. Ideally, you will be able to think on your feet and be a creative and diligent Maintenance Engineer. This role is Monday to Friday days only role with a 1pm finish on a Friday.
