Senior Process Engineer – Sherwood Park, Alberta
Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer in the EPCM consulting business in Sherwood Park, Alberta. Our client is a full-service multi-discipline Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) consulting engineering firm. We are seeking a self-starter, motivated and team oriented Senior Process Engineer to join their team for a 4 month full-time contractual role.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering design in accordance with project execution plan and design / regulatory guidelines
  2. Delegate and provide leadership, guidance, and support on technical issues (mentor junior engineers & designers)
  3. Define, plan, and steward engineering scope of work and monitor schedule, costs, quality (key drawings, design concepts, calculations, etc.) of a team of engineers reporting to the lead
  4. Interface with all project team members and Client representatives; coordinate with Client to ensure timely receipt and delivery of information
  5. Prepare reports & estimates (e.g., resource estimates, deliverable lists, and discipline lead status reports)
Successful candidates will have:
  1. A Chemical Engineering degree with 10+ years of progressive engineering experience and 5+ years’ leadership experience within an EPCM / industrial plant environment
  2. Registration with the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) as a Practicing professional engineer (P.Eng.)
  3. Strong technical skills in Process Simulation and hydraulic evaluation using the industry accepted software
  4. Familiar with fertilizer processes such as pipe reactor, granulation, crystallization, blending, bagging of aluminum sulphate, ammonium phosphate, ammonium sulphate, and potash production
