Database administrator, System and infrastructure operations, maintenance and development

As a systems and infrastructure operations, maintenance and development database administrator, you support IT efficiency by:
  1. Designing, configuring, administering, maintaining and upgrading computer networks, management systems and database servers in accordance with the organization’s needs.
  2. Planning, designing, modifying, implementing, updating and developing data structures for important projects and initiatives in medium- to large-scale database environments.
  3. Installing, configuring and supporting database management systems.
  4. Ensuring that the organization’s databases are secure, accurate, consistent, maintained and used optimally.
  5. Planning and prioritizing work to meet objectives.
  6. Solving complex problems using analytical skills and extensive knowledge of your line of business.
  7. Interacting with stakeholders working in other fields.
  8. Serving as a resource person to the IT development team for database modifications and new development.
Specifically, you will be required to:
  1. Create and maintain medium- to large-scale data environments.
  2. Analyze and operationalize data structures for target environments.
  3. Install, configure and support data structures for target environments and applications, ensuring their security and integrity.
  4. Advise practitioners on database management, use and access.
  5. Develop data migration plans and monitor the integrity of data structures.
  6. Draft and update system and database documentation.
  7. Advise and support the IT development team for database modifications and new development.
  8. Automate data structure activities.
