Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Corporate Lawyer at RJS LAW Professional Corporation. The Corporate Lawyer will be responsible for for conducting Asset and Share transactions, drafting, reviewing, and managing a variety of corporate transactions and contracts; shareholders agreements, assisting clients with business structuring and incorporations, commercial leasing, and related corporate and commercial work.

The successful candidate(s) must be a member of the Ontario Bar in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario; and will have 5-10 years of solid in-house an d private practice experience in Canada. They will have proven client management skills, strong analytical, communication, and drafting skills, and be prepared to engage in a team environment on challenging work with our clients.

They will have experience in corporate and commercial law, will thrive in a fast-paced environment and are looking for the opportunity to grow with us. Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Law degree from a Canadian law school is a required
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements
  • Ability to provide legal advice and guidance to clients
  • Experience conducting legal research and staying updated on relevant laws and regulations
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • License to practice law in the province of Ontario
  • Additional experience in business and commercial transactions is a plus
