Percentage of work: 70% (40% at the Board Office, 20% at Valcartier, 10% at Ste-Foy), until the incumbent's return, no later than June 30, 2025.
THE POSITION
This position represents an exciting opportunity to play a central, proactive role in identifying, assessing and resolving students' learning and social-emotional challenges. You'll work closely with a dynamic team of teachers and professionals to create and implement innovative support programs, giving students the best chance of success. You'll have the privilege of closely accompanying students and their families, helping them chart their course towards a future rich in success and multi-dimensional fulfillment.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in the development and implementation of the psychoeducation service while respecting educational and administrative guidelines.
Contribute to the identification and recognition of students facing difficulties with a focus on prevention and intervention, and plan the evaluation of their adaptive capacities.
Meet with students individually or in groups, administer specific tests if necessary, and gather information from school staff, external professionals, and parents.
Participate in the development and revision of student intervention plans with the multidisciplinary team, and collaborate on the coordination and evaluation of interventions.
Develop activity programs for students with socio-emotional or behavioral needs, and assist school teams in implementing and monitoring action plans against violence and bullying.
Support and advise school staff, administrators, and parents by proposing intervention strategies and guiding them toward specialized services if necessary.
Plan, organize, and lead training activities for school staff, and provide professional development training for psychoeducators and rehabilitation agents.
Design, adapt, or develop materials according to the needs of students, and ensure the availability and proper condition of the materials used.
Participate in the planning and budget monitoring of organized activities, and write evaluation and follow-up reports on interventions.
Collaborate with other educational service professionals and establish links with partner organizations to ensure the complementarity of educational and extracurricular activities.
Intervene to defuse crisis or emergency situations and propose solutions, and keep student records and intervention reports up to date.

Be a member of the Ordre des psychoéducateurs et psychoéducatrices du Québec.
A Master’s degree with a specialty in Psychoeducation
An excellent knowledge of oral and written English and a good knowledge of oral and written French
Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues, principals, parents, and supervisor.
Willingness and ability to travel to various schools within the CQSB territory.
Ability to establish relationships which demonstrate courtesy, respect and integrity.
Respect of the orientation and of the values of the school and the community.
