Translate UK Ltd. is excited to offer the opportunity for a Senior Bookkeeper to grow with an expanding company and shape their future. Your role will be diverse, encompassing a wide variety of tasks and you’ll need excellent administrative and communication skills, as well as a “can do” attitude to help support the team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and overseeing the accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using Xero accounting software
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial statements
- Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts
- Assist in budget preparation and financial planning
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Credit control and debt collection
- Handle customer and supplier queries by telephone and email
- Update the databases and internal CMS/Portal
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Proficiency in Xero and other accounting software
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant accounting qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA) is desirable
- Experience working within a busy office environment is preferable
- A good command of English and the ability to write to a high professional standard is required, as well as excellent numeracy skills
