The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and overseeing the accounting team.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintain accurate financial records using Xero accounting software
  2. Process accounts payable and receivable
  3. Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial statements
  4. Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts
  5. Assist in budget preparation and financial planning
  6. Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations
  7. Credit control and debt collection
  8. Handle customer and supplier queries by telephone and email
  9. Update the databases and internal CMS/Portal

Qualifications

  1. Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
  2. Proficiency in Xero and other accounting software
  3. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  4. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  6. Relevant accounting qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA) is desirable
  7. Experience working within a busy office environment is preferable
  8. A good command of English and the ability to write to a high professional standard is required, as well as excellent numeracy skills
