Travel Edge is searching for a highly qualified Director of Brand & Digital to work closely on all marketing initiatives including leading, developing and implementing efficient strategies to drive audience engagement, retention and brand loyalty. This individual will contribute to existing marketing programs, while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with company and brand goals. Working closely with the VP. Marketing and Sr. Performance & Growth Manager, the successful candidate will develop the long-term vision and strategic plan for communications across the customer lifecycle and be responsible for the oversight of the everyday execution of email marketing strategy, lead generation and co-op marketing fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all brand communications and how it presents across all communications.
  • Working in partnership with the creative team, develop creative briefs and guide creative to meet objectives for all advertising and public-facing communications, including digital, social and video assets.
  • Implement marketing and advertising campaigns by preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives.
  • Prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program success.
  • Conduct research to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape, and prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
  • Support the Advisor Sales team with plans for any and all marketing collateral, support materials and presentations.
  • With a particular focus on digital, develop fulsome strategy to efficiently retain and engage our respective audiences: Travel Agents, Prospective Clients, Repeat Clients etc.
  • Work closely with the CRM Manager and oversees all elements of database management including cleanliness and the input of clients into the database including actionable segmentation and personalization indicators.
  • Oversee the development and management of on-going evolution of responsive email templates and campaign assets.
  • Identify and implement marketing and remarketing campaigns against each segment of the database.
  • Tests, learns and enhances holistic marketing campaigns to drive business results.
  • Monitor industry and competitive intelligence to stay on top of leading-edge email technology and report on trending and untapped opportunities.
  • Ensuring all marketing campaigns comply with current email best practice in the industry.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience as Marketing, Brand or Advertising Management
  • Requires experience designing and executing marketing strategies, communications campaigns and programs delivering highly customized, targeted consumer offers.
  • Experience with web analytics, online insights, segmentation and behavioral trends.
  • Intimate understanding of traditional, digital and emerging marketing channels
  • Experience developing business plans for new initiatives including business case / rationale development and launch marketing plans.
  • Proven knowledge ofemail marketing best practices, tools and trends including evolving ESP landscape, mobile first design/considerations and more.
  • Proven knowledge of Google Analytics & campaign tracking and attribution methods and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills – able to glean opportunity from data.
  • Previous experience with ESP provider Hubspot is an asset
  • Strong analytical and project management skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges.
  • Ability to collaborate and connect effectively with multiple departments, partners and customers.
  • Superior communication, writing and editing skills and ability to demonstrate versatility in writing formats, including online.
  • An experienced communicator to senior level execs; you can confidently and eloquently instill the business value of your marketing strategies.
  • Budget-management skills and proficiency
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically.
  • Ability to work autonomously in an agile, fast paced, entrepreneurial environment with a track record of taking ownership and driving results.
  • Must be highly organized and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities based on alignment with business goals and strategic direction, define timelines and deliver to commitments
  • Some travel may be required
