Job DescriptionWHAT'S THE JOB?
NOTE - Position is shift work at a remote, safety-sensitive location. Successful applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test before they can be employed.
- Understanding all safety procedures of the workplace.
- Removing and installing air quality systems.
- Testing for leaks using various testing tools.
- Maintaining and repairing electrical components of HVAC equipment.
- Reviewing historical repair records to create an effective inspection schedule.
- Communicating with clients.
- Inspecting plumbing systems to ensure efficient operation while adhering to environmentally friendly guidelines.
- The ability to follow instructions and analyze systems.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to respond to clients' complaints, questions, and needs.
- Ability to interpret technical data such as temperature and pressure.
- Ability to operate and repair various HVAC equipment.
- Cleans and stores tools and equipment and cleans work sites.
- Maintain site equipment to the highest possible condition.
- Liaise with the Area Superintendent and Maintenance Planner to keep up to all maintenance issues and complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure all site equipment is in good repair.
- Effectively manage time and meet all necessary deadlines.
- Interacting with other departments to ensure the proper functioning of all systems on site.
- Complying with all of the company's safety policies & procedures.
- Wears required Personal Protective Equipment at all times during work hours.
- Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Valid driver’s license.
- Work requires an education background normally equivalent to high school and a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic certification.
- Work requires practical knowledge of the application of electrical techniques and methods normally acquired through 5 years of electrical experience.
- Knowledge of applicable industry and company codes, standards, regulations, and procedures.
- Able to operate all hand and power tools required to perform tasks specific to trade.
- Able to demonstrate organizational, time-management, and decision-making skills.
- Able to manage a fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet deadlines.
- Able to work individually and as a team member.
- Able to safely and comfortably carry out physical duties.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to health/safety of self and co-workers.
