Senior Product Manager, Fulfillment

Note: This role is hybrid - 3 day(s) in office and 2 day(s) remote.

The Impact you’ll make

As the Sr Product Manager, Fulfillment you will have an enormous opportunity to impact the customer pickup & delivery experience, colleague in-store experience as well as, design, architecture, and implementation of cutting-edge online grocery (PC Express) fulfillment products and services. You will drive product strategy and definition and collaborate with engineering to develop and launch features.

We are looking for a candidate that is obsessed with delivering the most customer-centric experience on the planet, showing proven success in ownership, bias for action, and thinking big. The product manager will need to exhibit excellent judgment, prioritizing between existing versus new customers and between features, architectural improvements, and operational excellence. The right candidate will bring a good mix of experience with fulfillment technologies, product management skill set, and a roll-up-your-sleeves, entrepreneurial approach.

Why is this role important ?

We are building Canada’s #1 online grocery service, allowing customers to shop in more ways (think web, apps, voice…) and receive their groceries when, where and how they want (think condos, Go stations, Shoppers locations, delivery…).

This journey will be transformational not just for us, but all Canadians. We need big ideas, bigger enthusiasm and lot of diverse skills to come together and make this a reality and you will be a foundational part of that.

What you'll do:
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for our Online Grocery - Fulfillment product. You will ensure that the way we handle orders all the way through fulfillment generates a world class experience for our customers
  • Develop a deep understanding of our users, customer journeys, competition, technology, and team and create product roadmap that aligns with internal business strategy/goals
  • Work closely with cross-product, operations and technology - deliver product briefs, train the team on new product features and capabilities, define good confidence release deliverables for any given release and participate in cross-pod activities.
  • Identify areas in our internal workflows and systems that can be optimized or automated in order to provide exceptional customer experience at scale; develop a strong understanding of processes and technology
  • Design repeatable integrations, POC’s and work with the internal and external engineering team to deliver amazing new capabilities
  • Participate in internal product performance reviews to understand performance gap, develop action plans, and drive the execution of actions
Does this sound like you?
  • You can easily build relationships and have been part of large, cross functional teams that are working to solve complex problems and build products for millions of Canadians (both customers and colleagues)
  • You can make things runs efficiently and improve operational processes in a highly technical, dynamic environment which requires a combination strategic, analytical, product, technical and operational acumen
  • You can identify our customer problems and turn them into opportunities that deliver an exceptional service that our customers will love. You know the language to bridge the technical and business worlds and have a bias toward data driven decisions, hands-on action and can break down complex problems into steps that drive product delivery.
  • You are curious and willing to move fast towards new fulfillment technology and automations. You will collaborate closely with product, ux/ui, data analytics and engineering partners to ensure that we build lean and scalable features with clear intent and at high velocity

How you’ll succeed

At Loblaw Digital, we seek great people to continually strengthen our culture. We believe great people model our values, are authentic, build trust and make connections. We’re able to keep innovating because our colleagues are passionate about their work and excited about the future of eCommerce. You will get to work with some of the best digital minds and will have the support of world class technologies to craft products our customers will love

If you are unsure whether your experience matches every requirement above, we encourage you to apply anyway. We are looking for varied perspectives which include diverse experiences that we can add to our team.

We have a long-standing focus on diversity, equity and inclusion because we know it will make our company a better place to work and shop. We are committed to creating accessible environments for our colleagues, candidates and customers. Requests for accommodation due to a disability (which may be visible or invisible, temporary or permanent) can be made at any stage of application and employment. We encourage candidates to make their accommodation needs known so that we can provide equitable opportunities.
