Job Description

Our client, a global Tier One automotive manufacturing company, is looking for a few career-minded Maintenance Engineers to join their expanding engineering team. A solid background in PLC's is especially valuable for this role - as is your background as a Maintenance Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or Plant Engineer in the automotive manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for overseeing all manufacturing processes, ensure a reliable process, a safe environment, a quality product and an efficient plant
  2. Assist in the planning, specification, procurement, installation and launch all new tooling and equipment required for new programs
  3. Manage engineering changes to tooling and equipment
  4. Develop and maintain preventative maintenance program when required
  5. Documentation of all processes such as flow chart, operator instructions, PFMEA’s, changeover procedures
  6. Troubleshoot pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic equipment
  7. Working with supervisors and quality departments to solve manufacturing and assembly problems
  8. Manage and ensure adherence to project timelines
  9. Participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities
  10. Assist in program launches and ensure successful launches
  11. Foster a positive team environment and assist coworkers as required
  12. Comply with all company policies and procedures
  13. All other duties as assigned by management
Ideal Requirements:
  • Engineering Degree or Technologist diploma - or equivalent experience. Solid knowledge of PLC’s.
  • 3 years’ experience in an automotive manufacturing environment in maintenance engineering, manufacturing engineering or plant engineering.
