MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer on behalf of our client in Vancouver.

They are an established engineering firm known for their expertise in providing innovative and sustainable solutions across a wide range of sectors, including civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering. With a track record of successful projects and a commitment to client satisfaction, our client continues to be a trusted leader in the industry.

This individual will provide technical expertise on projects, act as a mentor to Junior Engineers, and work with others to increase the overall technical capability regarding projects.

Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with team lead, project manager, and engineering manager to ensure timely project completion.
  2. Communicate effectively with the project manager, collecting and coordinating crucial information.
  3. Modify and apply engineering standards innovatively, identifying new approaches to mechanical engineering.
  4. Resolve technical issues, cost implications, and conflicts in construction, offering effective solutions and options.
  5. Support quality control, calculate cost opinions, change orders, and earned value.
  6. Prepare engineering designs and specifications for various aspects such as HVAC, energy analysis, plumbing, and sustainable design.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 4+ years of relevant experience, including work with Commercial, Institutional, and Light Industrial buildings.
  • P.Eng. status with appropriate provincial association
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD & Revit
