Willing to commute to work in Sorel-Tracy four days a week, with one day of telecommuting? Due to the crucial nature of the position, telecommuting is limited.

We are Looking for a Workplace Safety Superintendent who will support the operations managers and their teams in the implementation and compliance with best practices aimed at minimizing health and safety risks to our event teams from chemical and metallurgical processes used in our facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to assert your authority and technical knowledge in supporting maintenance, process development, production, engineering teams, and the plant's SSES function to improve safety performance and knowledge. Reporting to the Health, Safety, Environment, Security, and Operational Safety Business Partner, within a collaborative team in a dynamic environment, you will have the following responsibilities:
Lead, develop potential, and manage the performance of a team of 5 advisors with expertise in all aspects of health and safety;
Develop strategic plans to achieve corporate goals and ensure effective planning and execution;
Support, coach, and train our operational teams in our leadership activities leading to an improvement in our safety performance;
Through your leadership and communication skills, contribute to the development and promotion of our health safety culture;
Coordinate the conduct of incident investigations and identified corrective actions to make our operations safer;
Ensure networking with internal and external experts to promote exchange, standardization, and rapid improvement of existing practices;
Manage expenses according to agreed budgetary controls. Your Contribution

Solid experience in an industrial environment;
Demonstrated experience in team management and leadership;
Bachelor's degree or other diploma combined with solid experience in Health Safety;
Ability to interact at all levels of the organization;
Ability to influence strategies and translate them into practical and effective solutions;
Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills;
Experience in implementing, supporting, and promoting global initiatives;
Fluent in French, both oral and written, and basic knowledge of English. Client is
a global company and the functions of this position may require collaboration with
colleagues, teams, or partners based outside Quebec;
Available for sporadic travel;
