About the RoleLooking to take the next step in your career? Hatch, a full-service consultancy, is currently seeking a highly motivated senior or intermediate Structural Engineer to join our team in Trail, BC. This role is a hands-on technical role, directly interacting with clients and stakeholders to deliver projects that add value to client operations. The role is a mix of office work in the Trail office and field work at nearby brownfield sites, for inspections, project scoping, and field visits.
Trail is located 10 minutes from Rossland and the famous Red Mountain Resort. The Rossland region is a mecca for mountain biking in the summer and skiing/snowboarding in the winter. Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Trail structural team with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, cost, and schedule for green and brownfield projects.
- Work to ensure the implementation of safety and integrity principles in structural documentation.
- Promote compliance with all relevant engineering standards and internal procedures for all design activities.
- Conduct work with a focus on safety.
- Conduct structural inspections of existing brownfield structures.
- A recognized degree in civil/structural engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Registration as a professional engineer in BC, or the ability to register as a professional engineer in BC.
- Minimum five years of engineering experience in the industrial sector.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
