Job Description
Mission
Based in the Baie-Comeau office, the candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of multidisciplinary projects and industrial structural studies. You will be involved at various levels of responsibility, on small, medium and large-scale regional, provincial and national projects.
You'll collaborate with other members of your highly qualified team to develop solutions tailored to customer needs. You'll grow quickly in an environment where accountability, autonomy and trust are strongly encouraged.
You'll be involved in all stages of the projects that will reshape the face of the North Shore, while benefiting from a hybrid work mode (telecommuting, worksites, office).
Primary Responsibilities
- Design varied and complex projects
- Develop technical solutions
- Produce plans and specifications
- Attend design and site meetings
- Participate in construction supervision activities
- Determine construction costs and quantities in accordance with standard methods and established plans and specifications
- Conduct studies and write technical reports
- Coordinate and supervise the work of project technicians and draftsmen
- Ensure coordination between stakeholders
- Provide technical support to various customers
- Produce project schedules
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent, specializing in structures
- Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- 5 years' experience in structural design (steel, concrete and wood)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD software and Microsoft Office suite
- Fluency in spoken and written French
- Construction site health and safety certificate (ASP card)
