Sunrise International Jasper, AB$18–$21 an hourSunrise InternationalJasper, AB$18–$21 an hourLocationJasper, ABFull job descriptionWe are seeking a hands-on, guest-oriented individual that considers themselves a “jack-of-all-trades” type. Using power tools and hand tools, our maintenance team provides general labour, maintenance assistance and preventative maintenance functions for the Maintenance Department of the hotel.Duties:Maintain the overall good repair of hotel rooms including all facilities, furnishings and fixtures;Complete all work orders as assigned and in a timely manner;Repair and maintain hotel room heating/ventilation system;Perform general plumbing tasks as required to repair sinks, toilets, tubs/showers;Assist with renovation projects and upgrades;Assist with maintaining the kitchen, laundry, pool, spa, and fitness areas & equipment;Communicate effectively with all other departments in the hotel, including housekeeping, front desk, and F&B;Ensure upkeep of the common areas and grounds;Perform scheduled routine maintenance on equipment;Respond to guest and staff requests in rooms and public spaces;Use both power and hand tools in a safe, efficient manner;Perform other related duties as requested by the Maintenance Manager or Executive Team;Qualifications:Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems; strong initiative and attention to detail;Use time management skills to prioritize work orders, radio calls, and other general job functions;Knowledge of AV and computer systems; a willingness to adapt to new technology;A passion for customer service and hospitality; well-developed interpersonal skills;Ability to work safely in unsupervised environment;Ability to lift 50-75 lbs, must be in good physical condition;A demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to a team environment;Required Training and Experience:Previous maintenance experience preferred;Painting experience, related machinery and hand tool experience is an asset;Required licenses, certificates and registrations:Valid WHMIS certificate is an asset;Valid driver’s license is required.Who We Are:Jasper Inn & Suites is part of INNHotels, a family of independent hotels.
