We are seeking a talented and motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join our expanding team. As a key member of our litigation law practice group, you will have the opportunity to work on complex litigation matters representing our clients in the construction industry. This role offers significant exposure to a wide range of construction-related disputes, providing invaluable experience and professional growth opportunities.

Candidates must possess excellent research and writing skills and demonstrate an ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and collaborate with others.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage a diverse caseload of construction litigation matters, including contract disputes, construction defects, mechanic's liens, and other construction-related issues.
  2. Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  3. Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, trials, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
  4. Collaborate effectively with partners, associates, and support staff to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  5. Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on construction law matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements:
  1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  2. Strong preference for 3-5 years of litigation at a reputable law firm
  3. Minimum of two years of construction litigation experience in British Columbia
  4. Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
