Summary of Position

This posting is for a Temporary Full-Time Jordan's Principle Educational Assistant Position at McKitrick Community School, commencing November 12, 2024, and ending June 30, 2025. Hours of work are 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday. Educational Assistants are an important part of the school team and promote engagement, participation, and success of students. Educational Assistants support students with intensive needs in five key areas: providing personal care, life skills and experiences, academic assistance, communication, and behavioural support as required by students and directed by teachers.

Qualifications

Minimum Grade 12 education with at least one (1) year relevant childcare experience.
Post-secondary certificate from a recognized institution in Early Learning & Childcare, Youth Care Worker, or equivalent program would be considered an asset.
