CAREER OPPORTUNITY: DIRECTOR, CONSUMER MARKETING

Canada Pork is the domestic and global market development and promotion organization for the Canadian pork industry. Canada Pork is a joint initiative of the Canadian Pork Council representing Canadas 7,000 pork producers and the Canadian Meat Council, representing pork processors and trading companies.

Reporting to the Vice-President, Global Marketing of Canada Pork, the position is responsible for the implementation of the Canadian Pork Promotion & Research Agency (CPPRA) strategy to raise pork profile amongst consumers and ultimately increase demand and consumption of pork in Canada.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with the Vice-President, Global Marketing to further develop and refine long-term plans to specifically raise the profile of pork amongst Canadians.

Build strong working relationships with members and stakeholder partners, including industry advisory committees.

Develop and implement consumer-facing plans to build demand and increase consumption of pork in Canada based on approved budgets, annual marketing plans, and clearly defined performance measures.

Leverage consumer research insights to build impactful promotion campaigns and highlight opportunities for growth.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in marketing or related field, or a minimum 5-7 years of experience in food sector management experience.

Proficient in relevant computer applications such as MS Office Suite.

Understanding of the Canadian agriculture and meat industry would be an asset.

Consumer and market research skills would be an asset.

Ability to execute contracts, manage budgets and evaluate performance.

Strong writing, editing and project management skills.

Strong public speaking and presentation skills.

Fluency in French is highly preferred.

Willingness to travel.

Location: Canada Pork Head Office, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. (Hybrid/other areas may be considered).

Porc Canada est lorganisme de promotion et de renseignements sur les marches interieurs et mondiaux pour lindustrie canadienne du porc. Lorganisation sert les interets de ses membres de lindustrie ; les producteurs, les usines de transformation, les maisons de commerce, les associations provinciales et les autres organisations cles de lindustrie et du gouvernement pour promouvoir le porc canadien a la maison et autour du monde. Ensemble, nous ameliorons lacces aux marches, la notoriete et la croissance de lindustrie canadienne du porc.

Sous la responsabilite du vice-president du marketing international de Porc Canada, le titulaire du poste est responsable de la mise en uvre de la strategie de l'Office canadien de promotion et de recherche du porc (OCPRP) visant a faire connaitre davantage la viande de porc aux consommateurs, et principalement, a accroitre la demande et la consommation de viande de porc au Canada.

RESPONSABILITES GENERALES

Collaborer avec le vice-president du marketing international pour developper et affiner les plans a long terme visant a mieux faire connaitre la viande de porc aux Canadiens.

Etablir des relations de travail solides avec les membres et les partenaires, y compris les comites consultatifs.

Elaborer et mettre en uvre des plans destines aux consommateurs afin de creer une demande et d'accroitre la consommation de viande de porc au Canada, sur la base de budgets approuves, de plans de marketing annuels et de mesures de performance clairement definies.

Maximiser les resultats des etudes de consommation pour elaborer des campagnes de promotion percutantes et mettre en evidence les possibilites de croissance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Baccalaureat en marketing ou dans un domaine connexe, ou au moins 5 a 7 ans d'experience en gestion dans le secteur alimentaire.

Maitrise des applications informatiques pertinentes telles que la suite MS Office.

Une connaissance de l'agriculture et de l'industrie de la viande au Canada serait un atout.

Des competences en matiere d'etudes de marche et de consommation seraient un atout.

Capacite a executer des contrats, a gerer des budgets et a evaluer les performances.

Solides competences en matiere de redaction, d'edition et de gestion de projet.

Solides competences en matiere de presentation et en prise de parole devant un public.

La maitrise du francais est fortement souhaitee.

Volonte de voyager.

Lieu : Siege social de Porc Canada, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.(Hybride/autres regions pourraient etre consideres).
