Staff Software Engineer – Software Infrastructure

Alphawave Semi is looking for a highly motivated software engineer who is passionate about the semiconductor industry to join its software infrastructure team. You would work with other software engineers and internal teams to develop tools that aid firmware development, chip characterization, test efficiency, software development kits and GUIs for our products. Teams you will work closely with are Firmware, Design Verification, Systems, Silicon Validation, Product Engineering and DevOps.

What you'll be doing:

  • Full stack development using JavaScript (React, Node, NextJS), Python, C, and C++, MongoDB and Postgres
  • Building GUIs for internal teams and our silicon chips
  • Building CLIs to automate tasks and streamline processes and internal workflows
  • Defining schemas and data organization to centralize how we collect and view data across different process nodes, product lines and hardware tests
  • Architecting our software development kit and regression infrastructure to support all our product lines, chips, and semiconductor IPs
  • Developing test strategies, automated regression and QA tools, performance visualization of our silicon
  • Collecting and analyzing data on our software infrastructure to help define KPIs for improvement
  • Working closely with team members to troubleshoot and triage issues related with new SW updates

  • Collaborate closely with post silicon team, feature design team, software team to collect/discuss the tools requirement to cover the qualification to avoid the problem
  • Track execution with standard software ticketing systems like Jira, Confluence and Git/Github/Gitlab

What we need to see:

  • Student of B.Sc. or equivalent experience in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Computer Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Communication Engineering
  • Experience with JavaScript, React, Redux, Python and C
  • Knowledge in Linux, software deployment, CICD and testing strategies
  • Knowledge in basic networking
  • Creative, motivated and value driven person

It'd be great if you had:

  • Experience with multi-platform systems, both in HW/FW/SW
  • Knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog
  • Knowledge of communication protocols like Ethernet and PCIe
  • Experience building open source projects
